I'm still kicking myself for getting caught up in this pressure buy situation.  I was one of the unfortunate fools that happened to be strolling into Walmart because I had to take a piss.  On my way in across the crosswalk. This dude wearing a Detroit Tigers hat in a big Beige GMC Yukon (Michigan Plates CKU 5602) pulled up and said something to the effect of "Hey Man, do you want a home theatre system?"  Ironically, I was in the market for one.

They had a fake planted guy wearing a safety vest that seemed interested and seemed like he might be collecting carts for Walmart--he talked to both of us and drew us both in with the promise of wireless high end home audio that was literally too good to be true.  Psychologically the planted other customer must help the mark (me) trust even the most obvious of shady bullshit.  The two guys (one a fat dodgy smoker that stayed off to the front of the car---was quick to produce the order slip for the "canceled customer" as well as complete warranty information and print material that looked legit that conveniently had this big unbelievable MSRP price of $1,000+.

They both went on about how they had a couple of "installation cancellations" or some such nonsense and wanted to make a buck before they got back to the shop and the "older guys with seniority," would scoop them up for themselves.  The boss didn't mind them selling them off....(I FELL FOR THAT LOAD OF CRAP).  They were quick with a fake ebay listing of the product and the companies responsive mobile website that communicated the same details.  I asked them to open it up and they had no issue.  After busting the manufacturer straps and removing packing tape, they showed me the speakers which were wrapped pretty good and realistically.  I dont know why but for some reason I trusted them.

After some bargaining I gave them $300 for it....ridiculous.  This one should be an obvious one for a 27 year old...DON'T BUY SPEAKERS IN A WALMART PARKING LOT FROM TWO GUYS FROM LIVONIA WITH A STORY/DEAL TOO INCREDIBLE TO BELIEVE.  It will be a while until I do not feel like a complete asshat for getting swept up in "the deal of the century."  I took the "high-end," system to the dumpster with hopes to forget about this completely uncharacteristic lapse in judgment.  Seriously,  who pressure/impulse buys a home theatre system? Still--I wouldn't like to be on the other end of that Karma when the hammer finally falls on those pathetic d****e-wads.
