I was approached in a grocery store parking lot by one of these scumbags (specifically Steve Taylor - (734) 945-7757) who was selling home theater equipment out of the back of his truck. He claimed that he worked for a local Indianapolis company called 'Dream Audio Works' (8760 E. 33rd St., Indianapolis, IN 46226, Phone# (317) 895-1991), and told me that the equipment came with a full manufacturer's warranty.

After talking with him for a few minutes and looking at the product that he was selling, I agreed to purchase a pair of home theater speakers for $320.00. The speakers, model G-2815 made by Genesis Media Labs Inc., claim to be 'Top 100 Audio Distributor's Choice' and have a printed MSRP on the box of $2,199.00, however after opening and inspecting them I realized that they were anything but high quality.

I posted online and have received one response from a man who purchased a pair of speakers and a receiver from the very same person on the very same day (within a 2 hour period). We have both attempted to contact the person who sold us the equipment but he claims that his equipment is of the highest standards. The only recourse that he would offer us was to contact 'Dream Audio Works' directly to ask about an exchange (this is supposedly the company that he works for).

Being that these speakers are of substandard quality, the last thing I want is an exchange, but I've tried contacting Dream Audio Works to attempt to get a refund for over three weeks and nobody ever answers the phone. I have left multiple messages and never gotten a call back. I have been in contact with the other person who has fallen victim to this apparent scam, and his efforts to contact the company have been unsuccessful as well. Watch out in Indy for these lowlife b****s.
