E-470 Public Highway Authority Express Toll Colorado Toll System Ripping Off Oregon Trucker Denver, Colorado

I am a trucker from Oregon that is a Owner/Operator. For the last 3 months I have been getting toll bills from the state of Colorado from different tolls around the Denver area.I do not run in Colorado. I am only licensed to run in Oregon and Washington, California. I mostly go to Seattle. Back in October of last year 2010 I sold my reefer trailer to another Owner/ Operator from a ad on CL.Well some how or another the Oregon DMV is still reporting in there records as I still own this trailer.Well the new owner is running the trailer through Colorado . Since January I have been getting the toll bills.

The first time I received one I contacted the toll company. They were really nice over the phone told me to send prove of selling the trailer. I sent them bill of sale all the contact info of the new owner address phone number everything so they could send the bills to the new owner. That everything was good.

 Till the next month got the same bill again with late charges and being threatened to send the bill to collections if I did not pay up.I called the toll company again ask them why I received this bill again.They told me they did not receive any of the paperwork I sent and have know records of ever talking to me the month before.BY now I was getting pissed told them I would resend the paperwork. I would have prove that I sent it. So I sent all the original paperwork plus I added copies of my log book sheets showing were I was when they clained I went through there toll and it was no were near Colorado and my Cab card showing I am not even licensed to drive a truck in there state.Wrote a check for the amount they claimed I owed them so that the bill did not go to collections and ruin my business credit name which I worked so hard to keep clean.

Well they ignored all the prove that I sent them and went a head and cashed the check. Then sent me a new bill for a different toll crossing for this month.So here we go again.I sent them a email last night after getting this in the mail.Told them I would not talk about this over the phone and want it done all through email so I have written prove of what they want from me to resolve this problem.As of this afternoon they have not contacted me through email. Bottom line the Colorado Toll system does not care who they get to pay the toll bill as long as they get there money.Even if they have to ruin the credit of a small business owner in Oregon that has never even been across there toll. Plus why do they bill off the trailer plate and not off the tractor plate on the front of the truck? Sounds like the toll company maybe double dipping and charging the tractor owner and if the trailer is owned under a different company name charging that company a separate bill.The person in charge of running the toll company should be jailed if that is what is happening.
