EDDIE ACCARDI DECEPTIVE AND MISLEADING PRACTISES ripoff POMPANO BEACH Florida

On October 28, 2006 we purchased a 2001 Chrysler Sebring Convertible Vin ##. Based on the recommendation of Adam Daniel in the finance office, we also purchased a Royal Protection Plan and selected the Silver coverage. We later noted that he had selected (without explaining) that the deductible would be $250. He stated he would amend the contract, and sent us a copy indicating the change with his signature.

The car quickly developed a squeaking noise coming from the front suspension. I considered returning the car to you dealership and left a message for Randy, which was not returned. We took the car to Tamiami Jeep Chrysler in Miami to see if they could address the squeak. Tamiami found the car to have the following defects:

Right and Left Lower Control Arms loose and in need of replacement
Left Front Axle bent and in need of replacement
Left drive/stub shaft seal defective
Engine Thermostat housing cracked and leaking
Front Stabilizer/Sway Bar Links bent and in need of replacement

They informed us that this repair would not be covered by the warranty, since the car has over 50,000 miles. I called Fidelity Warranty Services myself and confirmed this. Additionally, they stated the deductible is $250 rather than the $100 that Adam had indicated on the contract. The cost of these repairs is over $2500 the price of the car.

Please note the following:

The car was sold to us with serious defects that would have been discovered by even a cursory examination.
The warranty was sold knowing the car was over the mileage limit for these parts to be covered.
The warranty mileage disclaimer was never mentioned by Adam at the time of purchase. The details were not explained, and we were not asked to sign or initial those pages, only the front.
Adam changed the deductible to $100 on the warranty form, but did not provide this change to the warranty company, which still shows the deductible as $250.
Had we been informed the warranty had such a clause, we would not have purchased the car, given the comparatively high mileage.
