Just before the new year, I took a look at Ediets.com and thought their website would be a great tool in my New Year's resolution to lose a few pounds. They provided recipes and even shopping lists.

In order to access these meal plans with recipes and shopping lists, you have to submit all info including CC#. After keying all this info in, I became indecisive about whether they would charge my credit card immediately or what. So I hit the Back button on my Interent explorer. I then received an email inviting me to take a look at my meal plan which I did.

These meal plans are ridiculous if you have family. I probably spent a good two- three hours trying to change them around and increase the amounts so that I wasn't cooking a meal for me and then a separate one for my family every night of the week. I also wanted to start my diet after the new year... about 3 days away. There was no where on the website to put this diet on hold until then. Being frustrated with the whole website, I decided to forgo the whole thing. The next day my CC had been charged!!!

I called ediets and met Martin. I tried explainging to him that I had not submitted a confirmation of payment that I had hit the back button. He told me there was no way that was true because I accessed my meal plan at which time I agreed to be charged. He then informed me that there would be a $25 cancellation fee on top of the 1 month I had already paid.

I told him to go ahead with the fee but I would not be recommending this service to any of my friends. He said "Well you make sure not to mention it to either of them" I asked for his name and told him he was being rude. He said "I am being rude? You are lying to me or whatever you are tyring to do" We went on for a moment and he said I could speak with a supervisor but they were going to tell me the same thing. I just hung up.

Ediets is for the rich, non-working, single people who can afford to purchase all the extras and only have to worry about feeding themselves and can cook a full meal at every meal!!!
