Edward Humphrey ripoff did not show regularly after paid substantial amount upfront Summit New Jersey

Promised job would be done in a month. We were willing to wait two since we had kitchen remodeling, powder room, two bathrooms and basement. Work started March3rd- It's now June 20th and the carpenters just do not show up anymore. Contractor Ed Humphrey promised he would personally supervise the job- he's been here probably five times- five minutes at a time.

The job had no coordination, supervision- Workers extremely inexperienced. They covered up heating/air conditioning vents, then had to rip down dry wall to expose them again. They put up cabinets before the painters could paint.And their dry walling was so poor- the second painter on the job (the first one quit) had to re-paint - adding additional money to our out of pocket expenses for paint. te Then the last 3 weeks before we were forced to fire him, no one showed up at all.

He gave only excuses, how he had to fire workers, how he couldn't find anyone to work. Everytime someone did show they were new and not at all briefed on the job. It was a mess. We were living in a mess. Still are until we hire someone to finish what he could not.

Ed Humphrey was totally unprepared for this job- and if he didn't have the staff he should not have "accepted" the 50 grand he got up front. Stay clear of him and his smooth talking routine.
