I received this email after sending my resume through craigslist. It sounded shady but I did the interview and I realized it was definately a scam. They wanted $312 sent throughWesternUnion to atrusted third party vendor for software.Obvious RED FLAG! Please read the following email and interview and don't be scammed!

Mr. Sam Wings (1:57 PM): The company will provide you a free Hp laptop with a fast internet connection and your W4 form will be coming along with the working materials you need to start working with.Therefore you are needed to make purchase for the software programs you need to start working with and the company will have you reimbursed for the order of the software programs.You are to make the purchase for the programs the company does not specialized on the software programs you are to get it from the company certified vendor that is the third party to the company she will have them install in your free laptop with disc and have it shipped to you overnight via FedEx..

Mr. Sam Wings (2:23 PM): I am a Grand Father and Father of kids.I'm 53 years old. I prefer to spend the time i have on earth with my kids than scamming. I know how it feels to get ripped off your hard earned money or sweat .I dont like the word scam let alone getting myself involved in it. I know you are feeling skeptical. But do not let your skepticism cover your charisma for this job.

Christina (2:52 PM): This is all looking a bit shady for me! I will not waste my time playing these games. If you were a true rep of the company, you would have no problem giving me contact information!

I want to clarify that this guy gave me the Edward Jones website, www.edwardjones.com, but he has no affiliation with Edward Jones Financial! This was a tactic to try to gain my trust. He would not give me any other contact info for Edward Jones headquarters, etc. THIS SCAM HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH EDWARD JONES FINANCIAL!

The real tipoff in this scam was provided in the email. There is no such thing as the "Edward Jones Online Company".If they can't even get the name of the company they're pretending to be correct, you know it's phony.

Also, representatives of a large brokeragehouse wouldnot use throwaway email addresses from yahoo. If you are contacted by anyone pretending to be from a large corporation and they're using a gmail, yahoo or hotmail type email address, you know it's a scam.
