I sent in a rebate for a free game on 09/01/04. It said that the rebate will be to my house in 8 weeks. It is still not here.

I tryed to e-mail them, but they did not respond. They do not have any other way to contact them that I have found.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Report them NOW before Statute of Limitations runs out!

AUTHOR: Scott - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, March 20, 2005

As much as this sites the best for learning about scamming companies, report them return receipt certified mail to Consumer affairs for your area so as it is 100% legally documented in case of class action and that the statute of limitations doesnt run out.

Electronic Arts is one of the BIGGEST mail order fraud gaming snakes of the gaming Industry. They have gotten around so many federal laws stealing from kids for years and gotten away with it to boot! Do the above or your definately never going to see it. Below Ill give some examples of what EA does:

During the old Sega Genesis console days, EA offered buy 2 get 1 free. It caused many an outage of games in the stores with this offer. Everyone sent in money orders and checks, most cashed, some returned for S&H. The paper said 6 to 8 weeks. Few months went by, made a few calls, and got letter "Due to overwelming responce, shipping will be delayed" I should have reported them on the spot, buck back then wasnt too knowledgable of my rights. Few more letters from them, even a date I should be getting these 8 tapes. Guess what, they never came and they kept my money to boot! Exactly one year I get a letter from tehir legal staff:

"Were sorry, but we will not be shipping the following order. We are not required to due to the statute of Limitations etc etc."

What they did in essence was let the time drag out and let the statute of limitations kick in and ripped of many. Some states have no such statue for miners, but unfortunately I was 18 back then so they got away with it.
