Element Electronics Manufacturers defects not covered by warranty. TV not designed to last 2 years, Internet

We purchased a 55" LCD tv from walmart, it was delivered and the speaker was not working. Walmart replaced that in a few weeks. Now the original TV is a few days out of warranty but it is less than 1 year from the date the replacement TV was shipped. The warranty only covers it from the date of the original sale, and the warranty does not cover manufacturer defects. We have been informed by Element Electronics that the large pixelated line is dead pixels that will eventually fill the entire screen within a year, but that it is not covered by warranty and there is nothing they can do.

We have contacted Walmart as well to see if they can do anything, but it is more than their 30 day return policy. Hopefully they will stop dealing with Element Electronics, but if not.  Buyer Beware !! Element Electronics will not replace or repair manufacturer defects in their products !!

After spending $1000.00 on this tv and being ripped-off, I will never buy anything produced by Element Electronics. I have a 48" RCA LCD tv that I have had for 4 years so far and it works perfectly. Dead pixels and a dying screen is definitely a manufacturers defect, ( verified by the support person we talked to ), and should be warrantied no matter what. I am sure other companies would cover this.
