Empire Today or Empire Carpet doesn't deliver what they promise. We had a salesman come to our home on Wed. 1/25/06. We selected the color and we asked the salesman to provide us with a square footage price, his reply was they don't deal with square footage rather yards. He did not provide the price per yard either.

Installers arrived Sat. 1/28/06. They ripped the old carpet out which in turn caused the exciting screws & nails to come loose. They didn't screw or nailed down the exciting screws & nails. They didn't inform us they didn't prep sub floors for installation either. They didn't give us the option to nail and or screw down the exciting screws & nails that came loose when they ripped up the old carpet. They installed over just as is leaving squeaking floors. And they have the nerve to call themselves PROFESSIONALS.

If you walk w/o shoes you will feel the nails and screws coming thru the padding and carpet. They didn't stretch the carpet properly, which is causing the carpet to bunch up. They didn't put enough padding on the stairs and now you feel the wood thru the padding and carpet when going up and down the stairs. On the stairs there is a 90-degree angle, they folded the carpet over the 90-degree angle and installed without padding, leaving an eye sore and a visible white line on the fold all the way up the stairs.

When we questioned the "Professionals" their reply was the line was due to the quality of the material. According to the salesman we were buying high quality.

Hmmm DON'T GET CAUGHT OUT THERE. EMPIRE TODAY OR EMPIRE CARPET ARE SELLING PIPE DREAM AND LOTS OF CRAP AND HIGH QUALITY PRICES. GET A REAL PROFESSIONAL let's give our business to our small local professional carpet guys. SHAME ON YOU EMPIRE TODAY/EMPIRE CARPET.

To continue with my delima, when the installers moved my furniture they damaged it. I now have chipped furniture in my bedroom and in the kids room as well.
