Equitrust Financial Services SCAM!! RIPOFF!! DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR MONEY!! Atlanta Georgia

I had applied for a unsecured personal loan through Equitrust Finacial and a gentlemen by the name of Thomas Mitchell saying that I was approved for a $15,000 loan. He informed me that they have private lenders that lend the money to them and then they lend the money to us. He informed me that because my credit wasn't built up very much the "private" lender was requesting that I pay a collateral of 6 months up front before they could release the funds into my account. this "collateral" was in the amount of $1,736.88

Thomas Mitchell explained to me that I needed to send a Money Gram through Walmart to a lady he claimed to be the accounting manager for the private lender. This lady was supposedily located in Canada. I sent the Money Gram over and gave him the trasfer code and he informed me that the money would be transferred into my account the next day.

The next day came around and the money still was not transferred into my account yet. I called Thomas Mitchell back and asked him why it has not been sent into my account. He informed me to wait until 5:00 that night and I would deffinatly have it by then.

Later that day I got a call from Thomas saying that there was a problem with my loan, and that the lender was now asking that I make another 6 months payment as a collateral totally 12 months for a collateral. I informed him that there was no way I was going to send another 1,736.88 to him and demanded I get a refund. He said that wouldn't be a problem and he would send me my refund by mail dated 02/19/2008. I asked why I had to wait almost a month before I got the refund and he said it was part of the agreement.

I went and looked at my Loan Agreement and nothing was in there stating I needed to wait until 02/19/2008 to recieve my refund. As of today I still have not recieved a dime from them. I contacted the Department of State for GA and they informed me that Equitrust Financial Services does not have a Business Licence in the state of GA. They also informed me that the address is not a physical address anymore. They informed me that there is a building there but it has been torn down for some years.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.... IF YOU ARE CONTACTED BY THIS COMPANY... DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY!!! I WAS UNFORTUNATE AND AM NOW OUT 1,736.88
