Doug Farr gave us a price on replacement windows on 6/21/07 and was going to apply for an unsecured loan at 185.00 a month tops probably less. Said if they couldnt get us the loan we would get a letter saying everthing was canceled. Then on 7/2/07 the guy to measure for the windows called and came out and measured I told him what was the use of measureing when I havent even heard about the loan yet he said everthing must be fine orhe wouldnt got the order to measure. Then 7/03/07 John Blaine loan guy called and came out. He had us approve all rght but for 217.00 a month and was putting a mortgage on our house. Told him werent putting a another mortgage on our house that want the deal worked out with the sales guy. Well he had Doug Farr call and then Kevin Swagler trying to bully us in that we had to sign we wouldnt. Kevin said then they could take our house and garnish our wages. Tht Doug and Kevin were such ugly threatening people to on he phone I wouldnt trust them to have windows put in if they gave them to me now. I told them I dont see how they could treat people like that and they just didnt care just sign the loan or the action they were going to take against us. These phone calls went on for almost an hour well theloan guy sat there the hole time witing for them to force us into signing.

#3 UPDATE Employee

2 weeks eh?

I was what they called a canvaser for their Traverse City, Michigan branch. Basically an appointment setter. We went door to door handing out fliers and getting sales leads. I only worked there for about 2 weeks before I accepted an offer with a company in the field which I had a degree. I took this job because I have a wife, 2 kids and a third on the way, and lets face it people like to eat every now and then.

Anyway, after losing the job that I left erie construction for I filed for unemployment.

You worked for 2 weeks and expect unemployment? You lost the job you left Erie for? Did you just wake up one morning and couldn't find it?

A 5 month long battle ensued. It all boiled down to Erie saying I left their company with out just cause.

Did you quit or were you fired? If you quit you shouldn't get unemployment.

Don't do business with these schmucks. If someone shows up at your door slam it in their face. Call the police if they don't leave

I'm certain that after a whole 2 weeks working there you know the company inside and out don't you. I love the internet...you can say anything about anyone and there's no checks and balances.

I finally got a hearing date and went before the judge. Guess who didn't show? Needless to say I got the ruling in my favor and was paid all my back unemployment.

I went by their office just the other day, and it was closed. All the furniture gone. Yet their website still shows the TC location and the phone number still goes to an answering machine.
