Ethical Electric :  "ethical"?  Buyer beware.  A customer of PSEG in NJ, I saw the ads & signed up with Ethical Electric as my electricity supplier.  Power from all renewable sources, right?  As an environmentalist, I'd be happy to pay a 5, 10, 15% surcharge for that.  After a few months, shocked to receive a utility bill for over $1,200 -- the annual "balancing" amount on my monthly Equal Payment plan.  Reading the fine print, I discover that "Ethical" Electric is charging me 55% above the kilowatt rate from PSEG!  This is a good old-fashioned rip-off, another company wrapping themselves in green to scam gullible consumers.  Another instance of deregulation run amuck.  Having now been burned by several of these "independent " suppliers, I'll stick with the local regulated monopoly for my energy supply.
