Ethical Electric Excessive rates and horrible costumer service Washington District of Columbia

Ethical (?) Electric lures customers who are interested in "green" electricity with low prices locked for 3 months. After 3 months the price almost doubled. At first they made a claim that the price hike was due to the harsh 2014 winter. Alas, the high prices persisted well into the spring which was very mild throughout the Midwest and Northeast. On top of that, their costumer service is horrible to non-existent. There are so bad that when I called to ask whether I can terminate my contract without penalty, the representative just read me back a confirmation number and hung up the phone. I had to call again and speak with a different representative who confirmed that the first representative terminated my contract without even asking me first!

Good riddance.
