Evans Glass Inc. Causes Emotional Distress to its Employees and doesn't pay them what they have earned. Seattle , Washington

I was a hard working employee of Evan's Glass from 06/04/07 until I was "laid off" on 12/09/09 by Gene Jacques and Dustin Henderson in the canvassing department.  I was the canvasser of the year in 2008 and overall had the most appointments and sales of any other canvasser the company had for two years.  I was always professional and hard working and called attention to the managers when company and legal protocol were not being met.

Many times I urged the managers to discontinue the allowance of vulgar, gangster rap music while in company vans and also drug use while in the field.  My requests went unrecognized but caused upset to those managers whom liked it and wanted to keep their team happy.  Many of the Evans Glass canvassers are minority, young men with felonies and/or misdemeanors for drugs and/or violence.  They sag their pants while at work, use extreme slang, make demeaning remarks about women and homosexuals, smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol and use other drugs while at work all of which is allowed by management as long as they produce appointments for vinyl window estimates.

I never indulged in any behavior such as this and was a model employee.  I showed up to work on time, came to work every day and was overall the most productive and professional employee in the Canvass Department.  I even won a 3 month long competition in which the prize was a trip to Hawaii.

On 12/09/09 I was going to file a sexual harassment complaint against Adam Charness and the director of canvassing laid me off due to "lack of work".  The next day two men who had been terminated from the company were called to to fill my spot.  Then they gave me a direct deposit slip in which reflected the cash out for my trip to Hawaii for $606, however they reversed the direct deposit and only gave me my hourly.  I earned the trip to Hawaii, however they took it away from me.  The company not only defrauds its customers, but also its employees and breaks the law by not providing a safe and harassment free environment.  I was hospitalized three for stress related reasons due to Evans Glass management.
