Everhome Mortgage Company Refused to help BEFORE becoming deliquent Jacksonville Florida

My husband is an over road trucker and has been with the same trucking company for 32 years. Over Christmas because of the slow economy, the furniture companies that his trucking company haul for had a 2 week layoff. Then where we live a massive ICE STORM struck and us and surrounding areas have been without power, so the furniture companies could not work for another 2 weeks.

I called Everhome and asked them if I could get a 1 month deferred payment on my mortgage which I pay by automatic draft so I am never late and always current.

Everhome says "sorry, unless you are 2 months or more in arrears, we can't help you" I said you want me to damage my credit by not paying my mortgage BEFORE you will help me? "Sorry"

On their website they have a link that says "CALL US IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE MAKING YOUR PAYMENTS" I always believe that communication is best before the trouble starts to ward off damaged credit..

Everhome Mortgage purchased my loan from my local bank....I am checking around to find another local bank so I can see the loan officer FACE TO FACE when I need help...

Everhome's policy is don't bother us until we are ready to file foreclosure, then we will add your deliquent payments over a specified time period.
