Express Consolidation is a complete SCAM, RIPOFF! Preying on people already struggling. Delray Beach Florida

I used the services of Express Consolidation because I felt it would be easier to put all of my credit cards into one payment and felt they could negotiate lower interest rates. When I enrolled, the contract led me to believe I would be able to receive my initial deposit back from them as long as I completed all of the monthly payments. In the VERY NEXT point in the contract, it led me to believe that I could cancel their services, they could cancel their services, or my monthly payments would automatically cease once the debt had been completely paid off.

A few months later, I was able to completely pay off the creditors who were in the consolidation program, so I wrote a letter of cancellation, and requesting a refund of my initial deposit. They informed me it would take at least weeks to see a refund check. So I waited patiently.

Finally after several months of no response, I called to find out when I might expect my refund. They informed me that I was not eligible for the refund because I did not successfully complete the program.

In the contract, it does not say, 'upon successful completion of the program,' but once I had, 'successfully completed all payments in the program,' I would get a refund. Well, obviously I had completed all payments in the program successfully as I paid off my debts.

In the very next point in the contract, it states that, 'monthly payments will continue until (i) all creditors included in the program are paid in full, (ii) CLIENT cancels the program in writing, or (iii) RLL cancels the program in writing,' leading you to believe that you will get a refund if you CANCEL, not only if you complete EVERY SCHEDULED PAYMENT IN THE PROGRAM!

I would like to strongly discourage anyone who is seeking financial help from using the services of Express Consolidation. They make money by preying on unsuspecting people who are already in financial trouble. They are misleading, dishonest, difficult to contact, and have extremely poor customer service. Please consider ANY other option before utilizing their services.
