EZ1RATE They tried to get credit card information from my 81 yr old father Unknown California

My 81 yr old father called me, he ask if I'd use a credit card to pay $6.95 for shipping. He said he was selected to receive a $200.00 gas card and $500.00 shopping card. I told him, I'd need more information, I couldn't just give out my credit card number and exp. date without knowing more about this "offer". I didn't think it was legitimate.

The caller "Max" that had called my father, called him back, got my phone number to call me for the credit card information. I told my father to get a Company name, location an phone number. "Max", called my father back "got my phone number" and called me. I already looked up EZ1Rate online and found many scam reports and complaints. I'd like to add my name and fathers name to your list of potential victims.

I did not give "Max" a credit card number or any other information. I told him that I had looked up EZ1Rate online and saw countless scam reports and complaints, regarding the same offer he had made to my father. I told him, I'd also file a complaint. He was STILL persistent that all he needed was my customer number. I said, "I am not a customer so, I do not have a customer number". He corrected me by telling me, he needed my credit card information. He got his butt chewed and your getting this bit of information. He said he was calling from Arizona but, the number on the caller ID was 909/842-9148 which of course you can not call.
