Fairbanks Capitol Corporation ripoff customers with unauthorized payments and fees Jacksonville, Pasadena, Hatboro, Salt Lake City Nationwide FL, CA, PA, UT .....
Fairbanks has many locations. However the Loan Servicing Centers that are affiliated with this company are the worst. Jacksonville, FL and Salt Lake City, UT are the main locations for the Loan Servicing Centers. The centers are the place of customer service, collections and payments.
The insurance part is located in California. Apparently, the departments don't interact with each other.
I have never seen anything like this company. We have been battling with this company since they bought out EquiCredit. We make payments by "Express Mail" and they don't post them until after the late charge hits.
They continue to charge us for hazard mortgage insurance, which by the way we have proven to them that we already have it. We also have a letter from FAIRBANKS stating they would credit us back the funds. After receiving the letter 3 months ago, they are still taking out money for insurance that we already are paying for.
In October of 2002, they rec'd a Western Union payment from us. Several days later they "steal" an unauthorized payment from our checking account. It caused our checking account to have NSF and we are STILL trying to get the NSF fees straight with FAIRBANKS and the merchants.
The representatives tend to demonstrate defensiveness and incompetency. One rep tells you something, we call back and another rep has completely different figures of what has been paid on the account. You must demand to speak to a supervisor, otherwise..forget it. It won't matter what you are telling the representatives. Some reps just hang up on you.
Anyone and everyone who has or is having a problem with this company needs to band together and FIGHT.

I see that the list of people that are engulfed by the wrath of Fairbanks Capital Corp is growing every day, my heartfelt sympathies go out to you all. My mother's battle with this aweful company will hopefully be over soon. I HIGHLY RECOMEMEND that you get an attorney ASAP for all of you about to be forclosed on, especially.
Don't even bother contacting customer service or any other dept for that matter, BYPASS all that and go straight to the top! here is the name of the CEO and also contact their legal council directly, flood their office with phone calls! Also contact EVERYONE YOU KNOW! Especially your state attorney general,your governor,your local and state represenatives, congress, state senator, etc.The Dept of Banking and Finance for your state, HUD, the Federal Trade Commission, FBI, ACORN, NACA,(If you only have one home and are not a real estate investor, NACA may be able to help refi predatory lender loans). I sent letters/emails to all of the below and had good responses! So I hope this helps you all and good luck!
