How to beat Fairbanks.

I beat fairbanks and you can too.

Find a local attorney and talk that person or an assistant to mail your payments with slip in the attorneys stamped envelope. These letters go to the legal dept. Results happen!

I was transfered back on 9/02 to fairbanks. I was begining to refinance. I called Countrywide and was told about the transfer. I read about fairbanks told my wife and begun the fight.

I called and called to get a payoff and a invoice for my payment. I was left hanging for a week or two so I contacted my attorney friend, hired his assistant to mail my check with return receipt request. He charged me $50 a letter. Well worth it. They mailed my check with a note stating that I am also requesting a payoff statement. I was called back by Fairbanks within 2 days and they couldn't be more helpful that day. My 5 day payoff was ordered and within a couple of days my payment slip came and I did the same thing again.

I was called back by a "Supervisor" and asked why I was doing this because these letters go to "Legal" and not to "Payment". I was told that I should be sending my payment in the proper envelope or I could risk late fees or even worse the loss of my home. Now remember I had only been with Fairbanks less than 1 month and I was being threatened for sending my payment early in a different envelope. The address was the same as on the payment envelope. I asked him his name and phone extension.

I purchased a telephone recorder on the advice of the attorney.

I paid another $50 bucks and sent a letter to Fairbanks. The letter explained this gentelmans name, phone extension and potential threating comments. Within 2 days a person claiming to a attorney for Fairbanks called me to help me in any way she could to get my payoff total.

I made my payment via attorney leterhead.

After 1 week my check had not cleared so I called fairbanks and got threatened about my form of payment and if I did not send my payment in the proper envelope it would be returned.

I called my attorney he sent a letter to Fairbanks with a cd copy of the "Harrasing" phone calls to Fairbanks attorney, e-mail to the same person with the sound attachment and CC to the attorney general of Calif and Utah.

Fairbanks called with a payoff amount in 2 days and sent my worksheet to the new lender. My home was paid off and in the end Fairbanks had to send me a check because they tried to keep a extra month of interest. Had I not kept up my legal representation paper chase I would have lost my home.

I received a letter from the Attorney General office of California explaining that Fairbanks is trying to steal homes by charging fees, past posting, not posting and other sorted illegal pratices. The letter also said I was one of the lucky few to get away from Fairbanks because most end up losing thier home or never paying it off.
