I purchased a disc, about making money from ebay, or should I say the disc was free, I just payed $1.97 for the shipping and handling from Fast Auction Profit. Nowhere on their website did I see anything about having to pay any other fees.

Well, I was checking my bank account status today, and it seems that Fast Auction Profit has deducted $49.95 out of my account, causing a check to bounce, and causing me to be charged with returned check fees.

I never recieved an email, from this company letting me know they were deducting this money from my account. My bank was very helpful, and said it wasn't fair that had happened, and they waived the fee for me. Although I'm still going to have to pay the returned fee for where the check was written to. So I am now out that money, but also out $49.95 from this company. I will be going to the bank tomorrow to fill out a form to block Fast Aution Profit from ever accessing my account again, and I will be calling this company tomorrow during their business hours, and see what I can do about getting my money back.

However like I've read below in other rip-off reports about this company, it doesn't seem like they're too willing to give you back your money. I guess all of us who have been ripped-off by Fast Aution Profit just have to be persistent, and hopefully we will be able to get our money back.

Very Decieving

Hey Frank, thanks for the input about the terms and conditions. However, the day I signed up for the free "kit" and submitted my credit card information, all I did was fill in my info, and clicked submit. I never saw the terms and conditions link because conviently for that company, the terms and conditions link is below the submit button.

This company is a scam, and something needs to be done about it! If you noticed above, I put the word "kit" in quotations, well as you see on their main page, you think you're getting a "kit". They show you a picture of the "kit".

Well my "kit" consisted of an obviously homeade cd, that came in a plain, very thin white cardboard envolope. This was not anything like how it looks on their website. So that shows you right there, that's false advertisement.

Also, I did contact the company twice today. The first time I spoke to them, they said they had no record of my name being entered. Well that's funny, because although they had no record of my name being entered, they still managed to deduct $49.95 out of my account.

So you tell me, how is that possible? Then they cancelled the account, (which I had no knowledge of having an account with them), I just thought I ordered a cd for $1.97 and that's it. That's because I had never once gotten sent an email from them ever! They never acknowledged the fact, that in their words, I had an account with them, let alone the fact that they were deducting money from my account without my knowledge.

So when I cancelled my "supposed account" with them, they said they would transfer me to the refund department...well, just like you've read in other complaints about this company, the same thing happened to me. When they transferred me, the phone rang about 8 times, and then hung up on me.

So obviously, I called them back, because I want my money refunded, and I will pursue this. I told them I wanted a direct number to the billing, or refund department, and again conviently for them, they said they can't give out that information to me. They proceeded to say they were having trouble with their phone lines today, and to call back in three hours.

Well, funny because someone else, as I mentioned above, got hung up on, about seven times through this company when getting transferred, and you know what, they didn't call today. So do they always have problems with their phone lines? I think not! I believe that's their way of avoiding having to refund money to people.

End result... I did go to my bank today, and filed a regulation E dispute form against them, and got assigned a new card so this "scam of a company" can't take anymore of my money. Also as I said above, I will pursue this until I get a refund.

Jessica,

You stated, "Nowhere on their website did I see anything about having to pay any other fees."

On the Fast Auction Profit web page, there is a form to fill out to get your "free eBay toolkit." In TINY print under the form, it states: "By completing this form, I assert that I have read and agree to the Terms of Service."

If you click the "Terms of Service" link, the web page states:

As part of this offer, you are receiving free trials to tools that will enhance your Ebay Experience. The following will be billed to your credit card if you do not cancel within the given free trial period. You will be billed $9.97 monthly beginning on the 21st day after the sign up date for "Search Engine Learning Center," which is a live chat membership site that gives you online help for marketing your Clickbuilder Website. You will also be billed $49.95 monthly beginning on the 15th day after the sign up date for "Clickbuilder," your website membership and hosting fee. You will also be billed $8.95 for the Google Learning Center, you're [sic] guide to advirtising [sic] on Google, on the 16th day after the sign up date for "Clickbuilder." You have the option to cancel these programs at any time. To cancel your subscription for either product, you must phone our customer service department at 866-652-0479. Once your trial period ends you will be billed for your non refundable monthly membership fee.

Please note that I am NOT in any way supporting Fast Auction Profit. Unfortunately, it is very common for such web sites to offer something for "free" (you pay shipping and handling). The typical "catch" is that you end up with some additional financial obligation that is not obvious.
