Father & Son Moving and Storage quoted me $1020. for our move from our house to an apartment and a storage unit.  This included 2 trucks and 4 men.    Someone called when supposedly Father & Son were on their way to our house and said they only had one truck - the other one wouldn't start!!!!!!!!

When they arrived the old junky truck had Neighbors Moving and Storage painted all over the side of box.  They came into the house and said they had to make an estimate.  I advised them I already had that and we didn't need it as I had it in writing from Father & Son.   The man in charge (one of the 4 men that showed up) said it was law that he had to do that.

After much wasted conversation, he made an estimate on a paper that said 67th Ave. Moving and Storage.   This is the 3rd company.   There is no way that they can get all of our stuff in one truck.   They said they could come right back and get the rest.    That turned out to be impossible.   I tried to call the Father & Son phone number that I had called to get the estimate and no one would answer any of my several calls.   Does this stink?

67th Ave Moving does not have enought blankets or straps in their truck to wrap all the furniture that needed wrapping and secured in the van.  As a result there are 17 different damages to our furniture.   I submitted 15 pictures showing these damages.   67th Ave Moving and Storage in conjunction with Claims Adjusting Firm, Weston, Florida offered $108. to settle the claim!!!

They sent us a check from 67th Ave Moving dated 8-3-12  --  6 months after the move.    Is this a joke?    No, it's a plain, clear cut fraud.    Everything was misrepresented from the time the old truck arrived on the premises until the last item was unloaded.    Don't ever use any of these 3 firms - you will be ripped off.
