I received a telephone call from an uncouth individual from Financial Asset Management Systems, Inc. They are the agency appointed to collect on my Cingular Wireless bill. I have made several attempts to resolve this matter and make payment arrangements, giving them post dated checks for every two weeks in which I get paid.

The representatives' name I spoke to is Jenny. The conversation ended up with Jenny hanging up on me prematurely. Shortly after, I received another telephone call from another one of their representatives demanding payment.

During the brief time between the two telephone calls I consulted legal advice, in which were able to direct me to this web site, and also notified me to record all conversations. She also stated that in some states recording a conversation is illegal without the consent of both parties. Then she went to tell me that in New York State, where I live, recorded telephone conversations only require only one-party consent.

I notified the representative of this and he told me it was illegal for me to do this, and he hung up on me.

All I did was try to make payment on a bill. Instead I get harrassed like this 3 times a day.
