That's pretty bad

This is a company that will give credit to just about anyone with a pulse. For them to require a down payment must mean your credit is really in the tank. Not trying to make light of this or putting you down, in reality I am just stating a fact. The reason your credit is the way it is does not matter.
The fact that you think just because they offered you credit they must allow you to not have a down payment and get free shipping pretty much says it all about your entitlement attitude and lack of understanding of how credit works.
The $30 was not a fee, it was a down payment put toward the balance due of the items. If the items cost $200 and you put down $30 you STILL owe them $170.
