First National Credit Attempted scam Thanks Ripoff Report Aliso Viejo California

I received a guaranteed approval letter from these people on 6/24/02, stating that I had been guaranteed approval for a First National Credit Gold Card with a credit line of $15,000.00, and that a card had already been reserved in my name. I know that my credit is not in the best shape possible right now, so I was a little skeptical of a company that would give me a credit line of $15,000.00. I decided to perform a search on their company name on the web. And, obviously, I found this web site, along with others, complaining about this company's scam. The "Acceptance Certificate" stated that they would need a "$37.00 Standard Processing and Delivery Fee", or a "$43.00 Rush Processing and Delivery Fee". I cannot tell you how happy I am to have found this web site before I sent this company my money. These people are very convincing, but also very vague in their description of their "credit card". The "Acceptance Certificate" says that "You can use your Gold Card immediately upon receipt for all purchases from credit provider", never saying that it is a Mastercard or Visa. I just wanted to do my part, like so many other kind people had done, to report this company and their cruel scam. I also wanted to say "Thank you" to this web site and the people that had posted complaints for saving me $37.00. So, "Thank you" and I hope this helps other people! Carrie Westlake, Ohio
