My mother has fallen victim to Five Star Commerce LLC, approached by a cold call that claimed to offer a work from home opportunity finding phone numbers of likely clients for their credit card service.  Despite her agreeing to nothing --she  also insists she did not provide her credit card information -- her credit card account was billed $295 the same day.  We're having trouble getting that charge reversed.

According to an invoice sent priority mail, this charge is for a 'website start up package'.  My mother is 87 years old and has no idea how to access the internet, much less use a website to generate money.  She was under the impression she would be mailing lists of phone numbers, but was not given instructions as to where to send them.  Details were not provided until an email  dated  10/29/11 which gave the URL of her  'website', her username and password.

To date, no invoice or authorization Five Star Commerce LLC to charge a credit card has been signed electronically or physically.

When contacted by phone the representative of this company has not answered questions about the credit card authorization and the lack of a signed agreement.  When pressed for a refund, he called my mother a 'liar' on several points.

A Google map of the address given on the invoice (which was misspelled -- there is no 'Berkley Rd. in Phoenix) shows a private residence in the satellite view.

I am concerned that my mother was targeted for this deceptive offer, and I am very interested in discovering how these people found her name.  I would like to thank the person who made the previous report -- I have been searching the internet for information on Five Star for the past few days, and this is the first complaint Google turned up.  I hope there will be  more.

Don't  let your relatives be taken in.
