Fiverr is a company developed some 7 years ago. They are the middle man in providing "sellers" who do anything from web development, logos, article writing and more. Fiverr got the name because the services are supposed cost $5.00 each but that is the furthest from the truth. There is so much false advertising on their site, that is makes me dizzy. One certainty is that is you are a "buyer", your rights are so much more limited than their "sellers". The sellers mostly come from Pakisatan, Afghanistan, India and Bangladesh. If you are from the United States, you are screwed because of the time zones.

They do have terms and conditions I read thoroughly but they do not keep their sellers accountable for anything, only the buyers. You would think it would be thew opposite. The terms ask both parties to refrain from using outside communication but my experience has been the opposite since the sellers are always complaining that fiverr is taking too much money out of their pockets. So, I found myself on skype making transactions through PayPal and others.

In short, Fiverr is a scam. The sellers do not have the talent or creativity to complete a good service. Most of the time, you are waiting way past their "delivery date". Fiverr beleives that asa consumer you do not have the right to complain when you are taken for a ride. That happened to me and they restricted my account at a time I had about 2 dozen orders pending.

I have hired several web masters on fiverr and all of them are amateurs and want to hand you over an inferior product. I lost out on $500.00 with one company who kept my money and did not deliver a complete project. I was readdy to pay them the $250.00 balance but they use aliases and never their real name. They also seem to be the same when greeting you calling you "Dear". It is already too late when you get screwed to find out you are dealing with "real people".

I tried contacting Micah Kaufman and Serena from fiverr, both CEO and COO off LinkedIn but they were unprofessional and did not reply to my messages. They also operate without a phone number or chat service.  I'm out of thousands of dollars and cannot log back into my account. They also without my permissions cancelled all my orders. This has deeply damaged my business to the point of no return.

They are from Israel and is shocking that their allies are Pakistan, Afghanistan and India, not the United States.

TOP Rated Seller On @Fiverr Has Account Closed After 3 Years and Close to $100k in Sales @michakaufman @shai_wininger @bosshogg777

AUTHOR: Anthony - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 30, 2018

My name is Anthony, my Fiverr username is Bosshogg777. I have been a top rated seller on Fiverr for over 3 years with close to $100,000 in sales. I have worked with thousands of clients, many of which are highly satisfied repeat customers. Of the course of 3 years we built relationships with all of our clients and became the top rated seller on Fiverr in the category of music promotion. Fiverr transformed my life and I was able to pay off student loans, credit card debt, and travel the world. I was eternally grateful for such a wonderful platform - until I realized how Fiverr really works. A few days ago, out of the clear blue with no warnings, my top rated seller account that I've built for over 3 years was suspended, for no clear reason. They alleged I violated there TOS by mis-delivering ONE ORDER. This was no fault of my own as the buyer didn't fulfill the gig requirements in the time allotted for the delivery, which prevented me from completing the order. The only option was to deliver the order late, which is a TOS violation and would affect our ratings. Or mark the order as complete by sending a message to buyer asking for the gig requirements so we could complete the order, which seems like the most logical thing to do. So I did this and then there AUTOMATED system triggered a TOS violation and my account was automatically closed.

Does this really warrant closing my account permanently? Do they not realize we are the #1 rated seller in the category of music promotion and have worked with THOUSANDS of clients, all of which are highly satisfied and have left 5 star ratings. We've generated nearly $100,000 in sales, 40% of which Fiverr has kept as profit from seller/buyer fees. Do they really with to throw away such a lucrative business relationship? Perhaps they could demote me a level or give me a 24 hour ban (Even though I did nothing wrong) but to close my account is the craziest thing I've ever heard of!

I reached out to support via email (because they have NO WORKING PHONE NUMBER and are headquartered overseas) and received a very vague response saying there is nothing they can do and my account will be closed. They also said I cannot access the funds I've earned for 90 days (this in itself should be illegal if it isn't). I went as far as reaching out to @fiverr on social media as well as the CEO's Micha Kaufman @michakaufman and @Shai Wininger to no avail. How can a company operate like this? Now I understand why they are rated F with the Better Business Bureau and have thousands of complaints online.

I am depending on this income to survive. My whole business is founded on Fiverr, I am an expat living in a foreign country working remotely and can end up homeless now. My whole business is gone and the money I've earned I can't access. I have no choice but to share my experience with everyone so they are aware of how Fiverr operates. If this happened to me, it can happen to you. I urge everyone not to use Fiverr. They are a horrible company and will cheat you in every way they can! They have the audacity to charge buyer's and sellers a 20% fee, why pay a company that doesn't even have A WORKING PHONE NUMBER 20% of your order???

Now I am talking with a lawyer and in the process of pursuing this legally. The joke is on them though because I'm a digital marketing expert and this will be posted on hundreds of blogs and forums so people know how fiverr really operates.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Sell your own services yourself

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 07, 2017

I've had a few bad experiences doing online work, and it's really sad that people can't tell what is legitimate. Some things sites like these do is literally use other people's photos in what might be misrepresentation. I'm not saying Fiverr does this, but any time anyone is offering their writing services or editing services for $5 per pop is really odious, demeaning, and disgusting in my humble opinion. The number of foreigners (shoutmealoud, monetizepros, clickfire, etc) writing glowing reviews about online work opportunities (ad nets, paid sponsors, etc) also tends to be suspicious. Their English writing typically contains enough grammar errors to betray that they are non-native speakers and most likely not even living in the U.S. However, what seems to be in it is that somehow a certain percentage or kickback is offered, to them, as paid advertisers. And yeah, the whole thing appears to be about leveraging US-located web space for the betterment of their currency exchange ration. $1 here is like $30.00 over there, not bad for a day's work in India. Of course, I don't exactly know whether this is true, but it's a good explanation for how any real life American can possibly live on $5 per writing assignment after years of college education. So yes, this review tells me I might want to not be in that kind of company, since who knows who really are your peers. And notice, not very many ever real brown or yellow faces of women featured in those offering writing/services. Now that is really a sad joke indeed! Anyway, by offering your own services at your website, and getting the word out on your own social or local networks, I bet you might be able to drum up a lot more better business.
