Biggest scam insurance company possible. My family plan was almost $500 a month and I took my 6 month old daughter to receive her REQUIRED vaccinations and received an over $500 bill in the mail stating the insurance only paid $100 for the entire vist.

If I wanted to pay for my daughter's shots in full there is no reason whatsoever i would be paying almost what it costs to take her without insurance AND pay $500 for the bogus insurance.

I'm not one to get upset but now I have a $500 bill that I can't afford to pay and I called to complain and spoke to a VERY rude woman named Cathy on the phone. I then asked to speak to her supervisor and she laughed at me then placed me on a 30 minute hold until I finally hung up.

I have never been so dissappointed in an insurance company and I hope at the very least this post keeps someone else from being ripped off by this terrible company that will claim to be good insurance.

I hope in some way god sends me the necessary funds to afford this extravagant half a grand doctors visit and I hope Ms. Cathy the rudest customer "service" agent ever loses sleep knowing she works for a fraudulent company.

Madam, as a licensed and appointed agent for US Health in 20 states, with 30 years of experience in the health insurance industry, it's clear to me you do not understand your policy. Admittedly, it sounds as though you're agent did not cover how immunizations are generally not covered in this plan. This product does not pretend to be in a ACA Essential Health contract. It is clearly stated in the literature and in the verification call application process. Because it is not compliant with ACA guidelines, it is able to offer substantially better health coverage when bad things happen. We don't expect our auto insurance to pay for oil changes and tune-ups, do we? Why do we expect our health insurance to cover immunizations and check-ups? Had your agent known that you were going to use the plan for your children's immunizations, he would have advised you to save your money and go to your local public health center where many immunizations are free or very low and cost. You might have spent $50 or less going there. Instead you used your Physician's office that charges the highest rates possible. You should be mad at your doctor or the clinic that you visited or even yourself for not being more proactive in your Healthcare consumption. Bottom line: the plan did what it was supposed to do and paid where it was supposed to pay.
