This may help some of you who recently signed up for Full Tilt and then did your homework and found out they're a scam. I made a deposit with them using my credit card. I'd only seen supportive recommendations for them on several game sites at that point (ads more than likely), but after depositing the money I did a little research on the internet. Hearing the horror stories, I decided to cancel my registration. That was less than an hour after I'd signed up and I knew they hadn't processed my card by then so I thought there'd be no problem. Boy was I wrong. I sent numerous emails requesting, and then demanding, cancellation of my registration and deposit. They continuously emailed back saying I could not cancel and that I owed them the money. I sent these emails over 4 days. They emailed back saying they couldn't refund money to a US credit card and that I'd have to send in all of my personal information in order to get a check. I responded by pointing out that they had not yet charged my credit card, and therefore I was forbidding them from processing my deposit, and promising to dispute the charge if they went ahead with it. They responded with the threat of legal action and said they'd contact all of the credit reporting agencies in the US if I did so. FIVE days after I'd initially registered, they processed my credit card anyway. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, and lucky me, they honored my dispute so I got the money back. I then received an email from Full Tilt acknowledging that my money had been returned, and DEMANDING that I contact them immediately regarding "restitution for moneys owed us". I checked my cc account to see how they'd processed the payment. Company name they used? INTERNET SALES. Services or products purchased? MERCHANDISE. This of course is to make it seem more like you actually purchased something and therefore making it harder to dispute. Their weakness? They had the burden of proof to my cc company, which of course they could not provide. These complaints have been happening for at least 2 years according to Ripoff Report. Why on earth haven't they been stopped!!!???

Totally Agree. Full Tilt Poker Is A Complete Scam

I made the mistake of depositing money into this scam website. After I deposited the money I could not even get into a game, so I emailed, and emailed, with no response in 2 WEEKS (and by the way their customer service is a nightmare!). After getting no response, I told them that if it wasn't fixed I would do a chargeback. What do you know, not even an hour latter do I get an email. exclaiming that my account has been frozen for 3 months, due to me threatening a chargeback. After the 3 months I could then request a check to be mailed to me.
So 3 months goes by, and I log into my account, and what do you know. Account does not exist.
Full Tilt Poker is a criminal operation. DO NOT deposit money in this site. They will steal you money.
