This company is a scam that has had 4 or 5 names over the past few years.  Park Central Processing, Atrium Processing, Crescent Processing and now Future PayTech. 

They claim to be a direct processor with no middle-man but that is a complete lie, they resell for a company called TSYS.  Their desktop terminals are pretty well-branded, but their standalone and cell swipers bear the TSYS name and clients will call you on it.  Because they are simple middle-men, there are often many shipping mishaps which will delay your commission.

I worked for this company and got robbed along with many others.  They charge you $300 to borrow a tablet that once you send back, they do not refund you for.  They will cite any number of reasons why, but it has been happening more and more lately.

They charge you $39 a month for leads that are pure garbage.

The managers are frauds, meaning that they will lie and tell you how they've also sold in the field but they never have.  Managers will encourage you to lie to the customers and if you follow orders, they will turn around and call you the bad guy.  Examples are telling the client that their Early Termination Fee will be completely covered when in reality they only cover partial.  Or if the client wants equipment that the company cannot provide, you will be told to sell them whatever they have "temporarily" and then simply never give them what they need.  For example, if the client wants one of those POS systems that are touchscreen (typically seen in bars and restaurants), the company will instruct you to sell the client a simple credit card machine "for now".  The problem is that "for now" means years.  I was told to sell these "temporary" machines for years until I realized that I was just part of a scam.

They do not pay on time.  There are three steps to getting paid and usually one will go wrong.  First you must sell the account, then you must confirm it, then you must "activate" it.  Then you may or may not get paid, depending on how happy they are with the account.  "Activated" means that the client is using the machine, but that may take a while, especially if they never had a machine before.  So if you get a guy who signed up today but doesn't plan on using it for a couple of weeks or months, you then have to keep constantly harassing the merchant and your boss to look into it.  Naturally, your boss hopes that you simply forget or lose track and the merchant could care less about chasing down your commissions for you.

Unless you add on things like a $99 "processing fee" then you will not make anything more than $141 per sale.  $141 is what the commission for selling the basic machine that everyone uses.  Then they allow you to put "add-ons" like useless check readers or gift cards.  99% of merchants will tell you NO to these add-ons and processing fees, leaving your commission at the $141. 

You are given 2-4 leads a day as promised, but most of them are pure garbage.  90% of the business you visit will either have no owner present or whoever is there will have no clue why you are there.  The others will simply look at your cheesy video presentation and see through the fact that there is nothing unique about what you're selling.  There are a few, usually new to processing, who will sign up and be taken in by the scam that is this company.  Most merchants are smart enough to do a simple google search and kick you out of their establishment accordingly.

Your "corporate manager" will be someone who never sold in the field even though he's lying and claims he did.  How it is especially obvious is that when you need him to talk to a merchant, they will just fire off lines from the corporate manual and NEVER close the sale for you.  They think that robotically firing off lines like "If I can get wholesales pricing today for you, why wouldn't you move forward?" are gold.  The merchant, who clearly was not going to buy if you're reaching out to corporate for help, looks at you even more laughingly as this manager recites these lines in the dullest way possible.

It is impossible to reach the managers since they are not only overloaded with too many people on their teams, but they spend all day running around forwarding their office lines to their cell phones.  It is not uncommon to hear noises such as children in the background, the sound of them being in their cars, or even better no answer at all.  When these managers are in the office, be prepared for a 10 minute hold time.  Meaning if you are in front of a merchant who you have on the fence, after about 7 minutes of you two staring at each other, the impulse and curiosity will be lost.  Then when you call your manager from the car and tell them that the merchant said to just go away after 11 minutes on hold, they explain that you bungled the sale.  That you should have explained the company is doing so great that there is no way to possibly answer the phone in a timely fashion.

The icing on the cake is that anytime they get caught in one of their scams, they will point the finger at you and fire you as damage control.  Even managers that have been there for years will get fired if a complaint is received.  There is a clause in the paperwork you sign that if a client complains, they can keep your $300 tablet deposit for up to 9 months while they "investigate".  Problem is that it's impossible to know when you as the rep are scamming or not since you're trusting your manager's word.

If you enjoy screwing people around your town, city or county, this is definitely a job for you.  Maybe you were always a big fan of villains in the comic books or movies or simply are some sort of sociopath who gets off on the idea of screwing your neighbors.  But if you are a normal person, this job is a total waste of your time.  Bad, untimely pay, plenty of drama and no job security.
