I ordered the complete box set of China Beach DVDs. They charged my card on July 19. Their web info said it would ship within a week, taking about a week to arrive. It's been a month now.

They have not responded to any of my four emails asking for tracking information and/or arrival date or status of order. They have no phone number. I wish I had seen the Rip Off Reports before I ordered. Luckily, American Express is happy to refund my money and open a fraud investigation on these idiots.

I also ordered the same set of DVDs from AllMyFavoriteShows.com. They were supposed to send a confirmation email and never did. I see that they too have charged my MasterCard (didn't accept Am Ex.) I have since alerted them I would be refusing the shipment IF it arrived (which is doubtful) since again, reading the Rip Off Report comments, it seems they are pirated and poor quality and I want no part of that.

Amazon.com has a notification set up whereby when this set becomes available LEGALLY (and hopefully not from anywhere in Canada) they will send out emails to those of us wanting the item. I do trust Amazon and will be ordering when it becomes available.

Leave it to the French Canadians to screw the U.S. consumer.

Refunds received

AUTHOR: Patti - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 25, 2007

After many weeks of filing reports to American Express, yesterday I indeed did receive a complete refund from Garcia Media Group. They actually did finally send the DVD collection of China Beach even after I told them not to after I found out they were pirates. I refused the box at the post office. I have no confirmation that they've received the refusal back, but I did receive the $112 refund in full.

I also received a refund from TV Addicts as well. They stopped my order from being shipped after probably 10 emails from me demanding that they do so. They kept emailing me that my shipment was going out and I kept emailing them, even calling them morons, telling them not to. They also refunded my $90 for the China Beach DVD box set they were selling.

All this took a few months, so my suggestion to anyone dealing with these companies is to keep trying, complain to your credit card company, and keep all your email documentation, especially where these companies guarantee 100 percent satisfaction. I'm just thrilled that I got all my money back, and I've wait-listed myself on Amazon.com to be notified with the non-pirated version is available for sale.

Do us a favor?

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

Seems tvboxset is unwilling to give a mailing address. However, since you're a customer and the claim that all email customer questions will get an answer would you please email them and ask them to provide a valid Canadian Post address where folks can send a certified/registered letter?

Not that I expect them to provide it, but hey, it can't hurt to ask.

Jeff claims they're on the up and up. Ok, now's a good time to prove it by providing a valid postal address.

Do let us know what happens? Thanks.

Correspondence received from Garcia Media Group

AUTHOR: Patti - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 16, 2007

After four emails that did not get responses, I did indeed get an email today from an unnamed source at Garcia Media Group. They said they would open a claim with Canada Post and I would be hearing from Canada Post with claim forms, etc. Yeah, right!!! I've heard that one before, right here on this website!
