Gardners Choice Deceptive advertisement regarding quality, packaging plus a guarantee that allows a continued scam on S & H ripoff Hartford Michigan

Product offered is GiantTomato plants V30010 "shipped in their own pre-treated, pre-sown, pre-fed nurseryman's starter pots" but what we got was four plants twisted and broken, packed in one plastic bag so the main stem broke and what little soil was on the roots had separated leaving bear roots to dry! All plants are dead after one week.

Cost of plants was cheap ($10.95) but S & H is $6.45 and it would seem the S & H is where they plan to make profit! Postage was .39 (Pound Rate Paid per Permit)No Risk Guarantee says "less postage and handling" so they have no reason to supply good plants when they can collect another S & H on replacement.

This is a cheap product but we have seen their advertisements for years and since they wait to ship till the growing season in different parts of the country, there are thousands of orders shipped each season. A hundred thousand orders at $6.45 gives $645,000 and replacements could bring in a total over a million dollars. Cost of plants adds more profit so I consider this a rip-off that has gone on for too long.

Gardeners'Choice is using the US Mail, Magazine Advertisement and the Internet to promote a Scam that individually is not significant in cost but we are talking big bucks without providing the promised service.
