I have used Geico online insurance for the past 5 years. I've always paid online via a credit card. This last policy I opened with them for my classic car, they decided to charge my next payment on my debit card resulting in overdraft fees. When contacting their company they told me that I authorized them to automatically debit the card I opened the policy with. I have NEVER ever given these people to automatically debit any card I've EVER used with them.
When speaking with their rep she basically told me I checked a box that gave them permission. Funny, how I never saw that box the past 4 policies I opened with them and never had this issue in the past.... She was unforgiving and argumentative, a downright b***h actually that was hellbent on informing me that I caused this by giving them permission. I will never use this company again and will make sure everyone I know changes companies as well. Geico officially sucks!!!

As an agent for Geico I believe it's my job to defend this company. Even though I am not licensed in the State of Florida, I can still say Alterxn, when you do ANY applications for insurance, etc., you need to look it over before you submit it. If you have a question about something, call your local agent.
It's important to have a local agent as apposed to calling the 1-800 number. The reason why I say this is that with a local agent you always get the same person so when you have problems to talk to your agent.
I don't know how it is in Florida, but here in Illinois if you sign-up for Geico Autopay at the time of binding the policy, you will receive a phone call from Geico to set up the Geico Autopay. I mean if you don't they will keep calling and calling, however they can't start the autopay until you set it up.
I can call Geico in Florida and ask them how their autopay works. I'm sure that they will be happy to walk me through the whole process and I'm pretty sure if you ask them, they'll do the same.

read what you sign, im not sure whats wrong with people these days, fact is, by law geico needs your permission in order to sign you up for automatic payments, and in an effort to offer it to customers, their are multiple ways to en-roll, funny how your upset because you checked some little box, anyone with a brain can read what they are filling out, take responsibility for your own actions and stop blaming everyone else. sounds like you made a mistake and just wanted to try and put it on geico hoping they would pay for it, PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU SIGN!!!
