I see other complaints similar to mine; mine is just starting. December 16, 2010 I ordered three gift cards to be sent to recipients; I paid extra for expedited shipping. December 20th, they sent one gift card. December 22, I sent an email to customer service asking why the delay for the other two? The same day, they replied that the cards would be sent that day, overnight delivery. December 23, they still have not been sent; I sent another email, no response. I called and after a lengthy wait spoke with a rep who told me she did not know why the cards had been delayed and she did not know what the prior day's email meant, but she assured me she would have corporate management look into it.

I told her these cards could not possibly be delivered before Christmas as they were going to business addresses and the business would be closing December 24th noon. I could almost see her shrug her shoulders. You and I know where this is going already.

Could I get that direct phone number to Giftcardmall Customer Service? I would like to reach these people regarding my undelivered gift card.

GIFT CARD MALL RESPONDED OKAY

As it turns out, I have verified one of the two cards that had not been delivered and have not been able to reach the other recipient, but I am satisfied that the cards were, in fact, shipped on the 20th and delivered on the 22nd. Their website showed the cards had not shipped and, when I contacted them, their internal software did not tell them the cards had actually been shipped. So, this turned out to be a big waste of time on my part, but I have to say that once I got past the lower level of customer service, the response was excellent.

UPDATE GIFT CARD MALL STALL

I followed up by sending an email to the above response and will report that I got a prompt reply. After an overnight delay, I heard further on the 24th that the items had in fact been delivered on the 22nd, although their website did not indicate they had even been sent out. I have not been able to contact the recipients to determine if they received their cards and will not know for several days. I received a followup call from their Customer Service Manager with an apology and a direct number to call if the cards were not, in fact, delivered.

 

I will follow up more here as soon as I find out of the cards were delivered.
