On 1/11/2015 I purchased a $100 VISA gift card at Albertsons' located at Union Hills and Cave Creek Rd in Phoenix, AZ. When the recipient of the gift card tried to use it, she was told there was no money on the card.

I checked with customer service at Albertsons' who put me in touch with "Nelson" at giftcardmall. Nelson told me that someone used that card (number) at a WalMart in San Jacinto, CA, to buy something totalling $99.74, just four hours after I purchased the gift card in Phoenix, AZ. I have never been to San jacinto, CA, nor do I know anyone in San Jacinto, CA.

Nelson told me there is a 60 day limit on filing a claim, but since I just learned about this situation, I am hopeful that something can be done to restore the fraudulently used funds to make the gift card whole at $100.
