Global Timeshare Sales Total Scam! Claim to have buyer for Timeshare, then ask for up front fee Orlando Florida

Out of the blue, I received a call from a LuAnne McGuire asking if I was still interested in selling my timeshare in Orlando. She had all of my timeshare information and had called me at my office number that I have given to no one. She claimed to have a buyer who just happened to want a unit at my resort because they already have one and wanted another week. I asked now she got my information and she made some vague reference to getting info from my timeshare company that I was interested in selling. I called my timeshare company and they assured me that they don't do business with any resale companies and would never give my information out. She called back later to say that the "buyer" had agreed to purchase the unit for much more than they are currently selling for. I told her I would discuss it with my husband and to call me the next day.

Today, a Kenny McCormick called me to see if I wanted to go ahead with the sale. I was still wary, but said I did. Then he told me that I would need to pay a fee upfront of $1350 to complete the sale. He claimed to have already "bent" the rules and gone against company policy by contacting me up front with an offer to buy. I told him I would mail him a check tomorrow so that he would get off the phone and I would have time to do some additional checking once I got home. After checking the BBB ratings (this company isn't even a BBB member) and googling their name, I found this sight and the other reports. Be warned! Don't fall for this scam. Thanks to everyone else who filed reports and kept me from making a mistake.
