Mr. Gordon Whittet advertises his address as Ontario and Chino, California when, in fact, he resides in New Zealand. He resides in a town called Bay of Plenty.

Mr. Whittet sells motor scooters and possibly other merchandise over the internet. The sales for motor scooters are channeled to Rabbit Scooters in Chino, California who drop-ships the scooters for him.

Rabbit scooters seems to be a retail outlet for Goldenvale who appears to be the importer/distributor. Goldenvale also has a warehouse in Ontario, California. Rabbit Scooters are the ones who issue the manufacturers statement of origin (MSO) to the purchaser.

I have had dealings with the entities mentioned above with less than happy results. In all fairness, most of my misfortunes were caused by transportation damage. Rabbit Scooters were less than reliable in their transactions in my case.

Mr. Whittet was not very sympathetic to my difficulties even though I purchased a scooter through him. Of course, all he could do was offer words due to him being in New Zealand. Still, he had his money. I finally returned the scooter and it was sent to salvage by the trucking company.

Beware of Mr. Whittet as he is not a U.S. resident as he claims.

You have been MISLED, perhaps by my competitors...My business is conducted from Chino, CA.

AUTHOR: Gordon Whittet - (New Zealand)

POSTED: Saturday, June 13, 2009

Dear Sir,
With all due respect...you have been misinformed.
My business is conducted from two locations in CALIFORNIA.
Our customers Bikes are shipped to them from our Import Warehouse in Chino,
and the administration (Title Papers, Invoices, etc.) is conducted from offices in
Walnut, CA.

Yes, I do have family members in New Zealand, and I love them dearly.
I recently attended my twin brother Graeme's funeral in Wellington, NZ.
Regrettably he died of cancer at the fairly young age of 49.

And I did use the services of a payment processor in Tauranga, NZ.
...But so what!

What DOES matter, is that the motorcycles & scooters that I supply to my customers are imported from China, and shipped out from Chino, CA.

Regarding my business having any dealings with the companies you mentioned...
NO, NOT ANY MORE...
I did have business dealings with some of them, but I was never satisfied by their
service towards me. As Donald Trump would say...they were fired!

One of these companies you mentioned actually employed Ross Maxson
some years ago!
Another one of them had him listed on their books as a Dealer of theirs!
And that was 'after' I had advised them that Ross Maxson (alias Mark Snow)
had stolen over $30,000 worth of Motorcycles & Scooters from me!

So it can be a wicked world in this business, that's for sure :-(
You've really got to learn who you can trust, and who you cannot.

But on a brighter note, there are still some decent people out there, thank God!

Sincerely,
Gordon.
