Government Vacation Rewards Misleading Information About Program Presented when Approached to Purchase Membership Internet

Purchasing membership the Govt. Vacation Rewards is an incredibly poor investment.  When being sold this opportunity I was led to believe that it was user-friendly, that I would have one individual to manage my “account,” that travel opportunities were plentiful and the my family and friends would be easily able to travel with me and entitled to the same travel options as long as I listed them as a user on the account. 

Absolutely none of this was true.  I have basically flushed a few thousand dollars down the drain.  The travel dates and opportunities are limited and only available for certain dates.  There is little to nothing available for all-inclusive.  What is available in all-inclusive costs a considerable amount in addition to the fees already paid. The website is not inherent whatsoever. 

When calling, if able to make contact with a cooperative customer service rep, their answer to all concerns and complaints it to show you how to better navigate the website.  There is absolutely no one assigned to manage your account. When attempting to book vacations, there are all kinds of fees associated.  Including family and friends costs much more than you will pay as a member.  And bottom line all you are getting with this membership is a glorified LODGING booking agent….no flight, not transportation to the hotel, the rooms at the resorts are very minimally discounted it at all. 

Each time I have tried to book a vacation, I feel like I am dealing with a substandard, poorly executed and organized, amateur, rinky-dink GYPSY operation. And furthermore, shame on them for targeting military members intending to appear ethical and provide support via discounts to military members.  Someone should shut this place down.
