I purchased a green dot/money back card at wal mart, 3-1-13. At that time it had to be activated which could not be done first off there were just 12 digit numbers on the card instead of 16 such as a debit or credit card.  The activation code numbers the green dot toll free numbers could not recognize!!  I called the 800-473-3636 on the back of the card for a refund, this has been on going since that time,  the last time I talked to them, my info was given again & I would recieve my refund by 4-19-13, it would take 9-12 business days, from what? takes that long for postal mail to reach the state of OH from CA??? in what means  by pony express or carrier piegon?? I did file a complaint with the B.B.B. in the state of CA, hoping maybe they can get my refund for me.

If you had the phone number 800-473-3636 on the back of your card, you purchased a MoneyPak reload, not a Green Dot prepaid reloadable debit card. For information on using MoneyPak go to https://www.moneypak.com/AboutMoneyPak.aspx. The standard refund timeframe is 7-10 business days for a MoneyPak refund. Refunds are sent standard delivery using the United States Postal Service. If you did not receive the refund after 10 business days and would like us to look into the status of your refund, please email Customer.Advocacy@greendot.com. Please include your full name, a phone number we can reach you at and ticket number if you were provided on.
