Hankook Tires, kramirez@hankooktireusa.com tires worn out at 19,876 miles Wayne New Jersey

Hankook P215/45R17, 87 H Optimo H426 all season tires came as original equipment on our 2012 Hyundai Elantra Sedan. At 19,642 miles these tires are worn out meaning that they are at or very close to the treadwear indicators. Hankook on their website says that these tires have a waranteed tradlife of 60,000 miles. These tires have been rotated at every maintenance that the car has undergone as rerquired by both Hyundai and Hankook. When I contacted Hankook they said that their warranty doesn't apply to original equipment tires. Hyundai also doesn't assume any responsibility for these tires. Based on this experience I would advise anyone looking for tires to stay away from Hankook Tires and if you are buying a car from Hyundai you should specify that it not come with Hankook tires to avoid the difficulty that I am experiencing.
