This place is straight up SHADY. They have been running the same promotion since October 2010.. changing the wording slightly each month and constantly tell people "we just extended that for you!".. They have people promise you "we have you pre approved!" WITHOUT EVER EVEN LOOKING AT YOUR CREDIT. I know this because after WASTING 2 HOURS with a salesperson who was more interested in HITTING ON ME than showing me a car, I was told that the whole "promise of preapproval is a ploy put into place by Courtney Cole and their BDC that is led by Natalie Spink". Of course, when I asked to speak with those people, they were "unavailable".
I did get a call from a female in their department shortly afterward who, when asked, confessed that their whole marketing strategy is a lie.. "the extra money is rebates you would normally get anyway, and for used vehicles, it is compensated by a markup in the pricing. As for the qualification.. we're told to tell everyone that. We get paid by who shows up, if they can buy or not". This is completely immoral of this dealership. With todays gas prices, they do not care about the people that come to buy cars, they only care about filling seats with lies and empty promises.
I will NEVER deal with Hare Chevrolet again... I will put this review on every site I can find.
PS... When I left Hare, I went right down the road to (((competitor's name redacted)))... I am now the proud owner of a NEW Jeep.. so much for Hare's qualification process...
sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome. Trading? Read!

I have never had to trade in anything that I have bought from Hare. I did buy one car from that dealer up the road, had very bad service, got pressured into buying the wrong car for my business. I brought the car over to Hare, they gave me top dollar for trade in and I have my wonderful 2008 vehicle that works perfectly for me. My husband's car was purchased new from Hare, and he still has it, 168,000 miles later.
Factually? You're picking on one of my favorite dealerships because I personally found nothing wrong with my interactions with them. They were courteous, prompt and respectful and the vehicles we have purchased have been quality vehicles.
My daughter purchased a car from another dealership that has gone out of business. The brakes failed and she was in an accident, totalling her car.
I am all for voicing complaints that are legimate and factual about a business. I don't want to hear about who hits on whom or personality issue. You tell me if they sell good cars. That's all I want to know.
Hare has proven themselves to me! We did as stated, break away once to buy a car from another dealer, the one up the road, and we had a bad experience, so we're sticking with Hare!
Oh, and by the way, I am very busy, but I do take time in my day to relax. Try it. It may help your perspective on life! :)

If you just bought a car at this dealership, how did you manage to trade it down the road?

Your story doesn't work. Neither do the rebuttals before this one. Business must be slow if you have time to write rebuttals.

I just bought a car at Hare

A lot of us have distrust with car dealerships. However I bought a used 2008 PT Cruiser from Hare. I had to bring it back as one of the tires was low and they fixed it. I compared the prices and honestly found a better deal at Hare. I love my car and it has been reliable. We received professional treatment from our sales rep too. I had a good car buying experience.
I did trade in the car I bought down the road. I traded in a sebring from the other dealer. I was talked into buying it from that other dealer. It did not fit my needs as I sell soap at shows. The Hare sales rep listened and got me into my pt cruiser.
We will buy again from Hare.

FALSE REPORT
AUTHOR: JenIsFake - (United States of America)

This report is false and was posted from my phone by someone that thought they were "helping" me, but in fact did not. I recently lost my position at Hare due to fault of my own, which she did not understand, and used my phone without my permission when I was in the other room visiting with my child. As she stated in her "report", she also placed this on other sites as well... I have removed those. Unfortunately I cannot log in here for some reason though, hence the different name now.
Hare is an amazing place to work, and purchase vehicles. I have personally sent my own family and friends through Hare to purchase vehicles. They are extremely up front and fair on their pricing, and are genuinely wonderful people. The reason she named Natalie and Courtney is that they were my bosses, and she thought they wronged me... she could not have been further from the truth. They were amazing supervisors, and are still held in very high regard in my book.
Again, the entire above report is FALSE. Even though I no longer work for Hare, I still HIGHLY recommend their services. As soon as I am able to log in as the original author, I will do all I can to remove or edit the report to show my support for this business and it's employees.

Hare Chevrolet Dealer of the Year
AUTHOR: Courtney - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, April 11, 2012
Hare Chevrolet was just Named Dealer of the Year which is a huge award based on customer satisfaction and vehicle volume. Hare has been in business longer than anyone in the United States as they are the oldest transportation business in the Nation.
Unfortunately, a disgruntled former employee has chosen to take out his frustration on multiple websites claiming false accusations. He uses the same complaint (copies and pastes) across the websites. On one website, he checked the current sales employees and used the names of Department heads in these complaints and accusations. We have plenty of proof and have asked to meet with the person filing these complaints and they do not respond. We know exactly who is doing this and we wish them the best of luck in their future employment. Hare Chevrolet will not engage in this behavior and feels its current status as the Largest GM Automotive Retailer and thousands of positive reviews (left by real customers) already speaks for itself. We are sorry about this situation.
