My son and his wife purchased a Volkswagon Passat ..used from Hare Chevrolet company over a year ago. they had it for just a couple months before they had trouble and had to spend $300....it was a minor thing that should have been fixed before purchase. though I can't remember what exactly.
They had the vehicle for about 3 more months before they had major problems. It seems that the previous owner never changed the oil and all of the oil lines and etc were totally gunked up. Cost my children a couple thousand bucks.
They had to have all of the fluid lines changed again seems that a reputable company could have detected this.
If you have kids you know how angry a mother can get when someone messes with or over her children.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
A Pre-Purchase Inspection
AUTHOR: Buddy - (U.S.A.)

Maybe you should have taught your son about pre-purchase inspections. If you continue to blame other people for things your son has the responsibility for, he will continue to get in situations like this.
