On Aug.7,2003 I attempted to purchase online - "Net Detective 8.0" (a product of 'Harris Digital Publishing Group'). After giving up my Credit Card information to this Co., via another Co. they use - "2 Checkout.com", I received an Order # accompanied by a message claiming -
"for your records, your username & password will be emailed in a message entitled "Welcome to Net Detective."
That email to date has Not been received. Nothing via email as promised - NO confirmation and NO Download.

I have also gone into the website & into a feature that (supposedly) lets you track your "ORDER STATUS" - only this time it is actually through "2Checkout.com" which gave me a Result of an Order, complete with my name, order#, amount of purchase, and date:

Once I input that information into the "Net Detective" site it then returned a page stating:
:WE DID NOT FIND ANY MATCHES FOR THE DATA YOU ENTERED."

I have sent multiple emails to various supposed "customercare/ support email addresses", only to get them ALL back as "un-deliverable" OR "delivery failed."

This is truly disgusting and I hope Harris Digital Publishing Group - in the end - find their justice for SCAMMING innocent people. Jean Harris - like Martha Stewart. Still hoping to retrieve my $29.00.

www.harisdigitalpublishing.com has Net Detective, as one of a few other sublet services. It is possible you may be emailing the incorrect department. If not, here is some refund related information.

The address for Net Detective is: 1392 S Woodland Blvd., Deland, FL, 32720, phone: 1-800-853-9773, FAX: 1-386-736-3882. I believe at least one of the numbers posted in your Report, does not match.

The Principal/Owner is: Mr. John Stanely, Phone: 1-386-736-3881, FAX: 1-386-736-3882, with only one digit difference. These may not be toll free, but you might have a better chance of getting through, with regular phone numbers.

Just for an expample of the full corporate span, here are possibly all web sites of the Harris Digital Publishing umbrella: http://www.harisdigitalpublishing.com, www.2checkout.com/cgi-bin,sbuyers/purchase2.2c, www.jeanharris.com. Each one may serve a specific purpose, and might handle specific complaints. The email you might already have: customersupport@customercaredotcom.com They also have Net Detective for Geneology, but not posted at the onlineBBB: http://www.orlando.bbb.org

There are an estimated 15 other different names for this corporation. Your technical and billing contact is: Mr. Scott Adams, email: scott@jeanharris.com, address and phone are the same as previously mentioned. Hos phone is the same as Mr. John Stanely's. These are probably not direct lines to the individuals.

If you return to the 2checkout-site, there is a troubleshooting section, when you access help. It doesn't come up right away, but just access the help section. In troubleshooting options, your problem is addressed. There are specific applications to correct the problem
