Heartland Payment Systems Heartland stole my money from my account without my knowledge and now they are refusing to give it back because they claim Visa and American Express wants the amounts back. If this is not fraud, I don't know what it is. I furnished them all the documentation and they are blowing me off. Can the Federal Trade Commission do anything to help us small businessmen? Do not retain Heartland Payment Service for your your Merchant Service needs. They're a FRAUD.
Their sole purpose is to keep credit card companies like American Express and Visa happy while taking your money without your permission.
I first complained to two of their spokesmen. Both were lousy and covering for each other.

Dear Veritas,
Thank you for understanding this issue.
HPS blew me off because according to them they take directions from AMEX and Visa.
When I asked why AMEX and Visa did not directly contact me, HPS had no answer.
I still don't have my money back and there is complete silence from HPS like they could care less for a small businessman like me.

I think that you may request more information from Heartland Payment Systems. I'm a professional of the industry, and am not altogether friendly toward competition like Heartland. I will state that the charges you refer to may little to do with Heartland. The only way to know for sure is to get an acurate understanding of the charge itself.
I am aware of another porcessor that recently made a deduction from several accounts that I control--not HPS. The line item may show as: "DLYENTRIES" followed by your merchant ID number on your checking account.
The collection of fees was sent out to all merchants on this processor and reads like this:
Direct Settlement Program for American Express Billing Issue Notification
Dear valued merchant,
Please note that the monthly discount fee and the per item fee for your American Express direct settlement transactions were listed correctly in your February statement, however, not billed. This information was not noted in the summary section of your statement, and therefore, you may not be aware of the missed fees.
In order to recover these fees, we will initiate an ACH Debit on March 12, 2015. You will notice the ACH debit on your March statement that you will receive in April.
All fees are now being billed normally. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced as a result of this billing issue and please know that we are working to make sure it does not happen again.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this incident, please contact Customer Support....then follows this particular processor contact phone number.
Your frustration sound similar to several phone calls I've had to handle. Like I said I'm not a Heartland fan, but they are one of the few companies that are more legit than many others. Don't jump ship without doing some solid research. There are many scammers, if you've done any reading here on rippoff report, standing in line to make your life extremely misrable. If you want to send me an email, I'll do my best to answer your questions: amsid2000-veritas(at)yahoo(dot)com
Good luck.
