HESS KENNEDY & COMPANY After paying Hess Kennedy $70. a month for 18 months, I am in worse shape than ever. Coral Springs Florida

I was so desperate to get out of debt. I recall searching for DEBT CONSOLIDATION companies and chose Hess Kennedy to help me. Who could be more qualified than "lawyers". This was almost 2 years ago and none of my creditors have seen a dime of the money I paid to Hess Kennedy for 18 months.

When I would call to check the 'status' of my account, I was told more than once that everything was looking good. I was paying Hess Kennedy $68 a month after paying them an initial "fee" of $165. After about 9 months of the run around, I was feeling that this may be a scam, but by then, the creditors had stopped calling so I just went with it and hoped it would all work out.

After paying into my "account" about 18 months, I received a letter that I was being given an option of opting out of the contact because Hess Kennedy had grown so quickly that they realize they had not provided quality service. I immediately jumped on this "opt out" and notified them back. It has been almost 6 months now and I still do not received my refund.

I am given a different reason every time I receive communication back. The first time I was told, I would receive my refund in 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, I called again and was told the process has changed and I must fill out a form and send it back and it would be 6 weeks. After 6 weeks I called back and was told the process has changed again and there is another form I must fill out and return and my refund would begin the first day of the next month after my paperwork has been processed and I would receive my refund in payments for up to 36 months.

Well, I still have not received any of refund that totaled over $1200. Talk about hind sight. I have since then checked them out with the Better Business Bureau and really feel "naive in Nashville" for not checking them out before I had them draft my checking account each month. BBB reports confirm that Hess Kennedy is less than a reputable business to say the least.
