Hess Kennedy Company Debt Settlement ripoff will not refund money ignores emails on hold for an hour Fort Lauderdale Florida

I obtained the services of Hess Kennedy for debt settlement in August 2006. According to their agreement and introductory paperwork, creditors are contacted after the third month of being in the debt settlement program. I called in December of 2006 to inquire about this, and was told that all creditors are contacted as soon as you obtain Hess Kennedy's services. I was told that I would be faxed a copy of the letters that were sent to all of my creditors. The fax I received was two pages, yet I had quite a few more creditors than that. The letters were also very vague.

I called Hess Kennedy in January 2007 to verify how much had accrued in my trust (settlement) account, as I knew there should be enough to start negotiating settlements for some of my smaller debts. I was told that there was almost $550. So, it appeared that two letters had been sent out, but when no response was received from the creditors, it stopped there, Hess Kennedy did not move on down the list to try another creditor.

I decided at this point to cancel my representation agreement with them and request a refund of the money in my trust account. I was told to send the request in writing via fax, which I did, no response. I have sent numerous emails, no response. I have called Hess Kennedy and am put on hold for over 30 minutes and then hung up on each time. So, to the rebuttal that was written regarding another report about Hess Kennedy. I have followed what I was told to do, and this company is ignoring their clients. I have had no communication that was initiated by Hess Kennedy since I signed up with them, I have always had to make repeated attempts to get any kind of response from them. Now that I have cancelled their services, I am getting nothing at all, and doubt very much I will see my $548 again.
