I purchased 2 airsoft toy guns from Hobbytron on 7/26/2009. I recieved them on 7/29/2009. My kids and I opened them when we recieved them but could not use or test them until the batteries were charged. We left our home to go to our vacation destination on the afternoon of 7/30/2009, we arrived too late to try out our new purchases.

On the afternoon of 7/31/2009 we loaded BB's into both airsoft guns to try them out and play with them, at first they both worked fine. After maybe 25 to 30 minutes of play, (and maybe 200 BB's) the trigger/fire select lever started to stick on my Daughers airsoft gun. I could not get the toy to switch into the SAFE/NO FIRE mode. I was very careful not to force the lever into any position, since the gun is plastic I knew I could not use much force. We finally gave up trying to get the toy to work and figured we would just have to send it back to hobbytron for a warranty replacement or repair.

After playing for maybe another 45 minutes (and maybe a total of 400 to 500 BB's which is not much for a gun that is fully automatic and can probably fire about 150 to 200 BB's per minute), the lever on my airsoft gun that selects either SAFE/SINGLE SHOT/ or FULL AUTO locked into place and would not move. I could also not get the trigger to operate either. This is with only 400 to 500 BB's shot through a BRAND NEW toy. I thought at first about trying to take the airsoft gun apart and attempting to see if I could find a problem but decided against it because didn't want to void the 30 day warranty that Hobbytron implies they have on their products.

When we returned back from our vacation I contacted Hobbytron.com Customer Service. A person named Nicole told me that they were unable to warranty our items because we "took them out of the box and played with them", "our policy only covers items that are defective right out of the box". I asked her how I would know if the guns were defective unless I used them, Nicole simply repeated the same policy over and over again. She would not even give me the option to return the toys to Hobbytron for their supposable service department to look at, to determine what went wrong with the 2 airsoft guns. She stated I had no options at all and was basically out of luck (and money).

I am flabergasted that I could purchased a product and have it fail within the first 60 to 90 minutes of use and have no recourse what-so-ever. Hobbytron never even offered to have me send the items back to the manufacturer for any type of help. This is truly a Company that is out to rip-off consumers by not standing behind what they sell... for even a minute...
