In June 2008, my wife and I attended a presentation of the Global Exchange Vacation Club because the gift offered was discounted airfare ($100) and 3 days 2 nights in Hawaii from Holiday Travel of America. We declined the offer to join the Club and tried to collect on our Hawaii vacation.
Be aware that Holiday Travel of America in Carlsbad Ca will ask you to pay $100.00 and choose two possible travel dates prior to confirming either of your dates. You have to leave on a Tuesday and return 2 days later. Before I went to the Global Exchange meeting they Global Exchange insured me in the initial promotion letter that I could arrange for different travel dates if I was willing to pay for the upgrade. So I sent Holiday Travel an email indicating the travel dates I preferred with the starting date being one of there listed Tuesday dates and the return date a Wednesday of a different week. I also said I would be happy to pay the $100 deposit or tax (what ever it is they call it both) and the additional cost if reasonable.
Holiday Travel then calls me latter the same day of the email and says they could not do this unless I first pay the $100. I tolled them that the trip was worthless to me unless I can get the date I have requested. They again said they could not do this unless I first pay the $100 and that this was some kind of government regulation. I said sure write it is and that I would not pay for something unless I know what it is and to just forget the whole deal.
This just confirms to me that what the other people in this forum have said about these companies is true. I would like to say thanks to the other people in this forum in helping me on this.

I got the same promotion. I paid the one hundred dollars. In no time my 3 day 2 night vacation was booked. For 2 people $100 bucks? Hawaii? R/T airfare? Two Nights Hotel. I also get 10,000 Worldperks miles from the 2 tickets.
Here is my confirmation from NWA that Holiday Travel booked for me. If you are not happy I will gladly take your cirtificate and I will go again! ALOHA!
I think the customer service of HTOA is outstanding compared to other promo travel companies like Casablanca Express.
