I had a terrible experience with a plumber who is listed at HomeAdvisor. I filled out a detailed report of my experience, including all of the relevant information about the transaction.

I checked the HomeAdvisor page for this plumber a few weeks later - to my surprise, my review wasn't posted and did not affect the provider's rating (currently listed as 4.46 stars out of five).

I went through the process again, submitting all of the same information. Again, it wasn't posted - but a review was added between the time of my two submissions, which gave this same provider a five-star rating.

Checking out HomeAdvisor's rating here at RipoffReport, I'm not the only one who has had this experience - several others have complained about similar nonsense.

It seems clear that HomeAdvisor is picking and choosing reports to make its listed providers look good. Terrible practice for a review site.
