I was recently advised via mail that JPMorgan Chase Bank transferred my mortgage to Homeward Residential effective Sept 16, 2012.  Since I do automatic transfer, I was advised by Chase to wait for Homeward Residential's instructions on how to continue payment with them.  When I received Homeward's letter, it stated the amount due but no "DUE DATE" stated.  I called their 1-800 number, got connected to their "Call Center" and spoke to a representative who doesn't even know what they were talking about.  The lady asked for my Social Security No. twice and right after she got the information, read thru her "script" and asked for my Social Security No. AGAIN!

I asked them when is my new "DUE DATE" and they said it is the same arrangement I had with Chase (which is 1st of every month) but Homeward Residential is giving their "new clients" 60 days after the due date to pay without incurring any late fees or penalties.  Note that I received their letter notice on Oct 10 vs. my regular due date of 1st of the month (Oct 1).

Today, Oct 22, I received in the mail a notice from Homeward Residential that my payment is now delinquent and if I don't pay my mortgage by end of the month, I will be incurring late fees and will be reported to the credit agency. Though I have already paid my mortgage prior to the date of this letter, receiving this type of letter  bothers me very much as I don't feel comfortable with the competency of this mortgage company handling my account.  They may report me to the credit agency even if I have already paid my loan on time.  Also, what happened to their promise of a 60- day grace period?  I never had this problem with JPChase Morgan. Reading the feedbacks from other ex-Chase loan holders who got transferred to Homeward Residential, it is very scary to continue dealing with this company.
